I first got this edwin jagger when I was a teen and used it occasionally but eventually gave up and used the razors above, what I found for me was that shaving with the gilletes always gave me ingrown hairs and irritation unless I was shaving with new blades everytime.
Results: Pretty much every area of my face feels baby smooth, when I pass my finger against the grain I can't feel any hairs sticking out, I have 0 irritation or ingrown hairs.
I shaved slowly in short cuts and without any shaving cream, only using lukewarm water, I only did 1 pass and not against the grain, didn't apply any pressure and let the razor do the work. Background: I usually shave with a mach 3 or a gillete 5 fusion, today I used a cheap edwin jagger safety razor and a gillete blade, I had about 4 days growth.
